Training Bands Christmas Concert 2017 Sunday 11th was the annual Training Bands Concert at All Saints Church. The concert saw the church filled with residents and parents for a “Christmas Around the World” extravaganza. The four training bands, Community, Beginner, Learner and Junior took the audience on the trip of a life time from Canada to Japan, Mexico to the Ukraine. The concert also saw the first set annual Band Awards being presented. · Speight cup – Pippa Williamson · Edith butler – Theo Flintoft · Robin butler – Phoebe Langton-White · Midland bank cup for attendance – Grace Walker · Fran maw shield– Annabel Kent· Certificates were given to – George Larson and Elise Smith for dedication and Annie Foster, Jessie Blacklock, Neve Kendall and Connie Moxon for progress. The concert also saw a change of conductors at the helm, Emma Smailes taking her inaugrial Community Band Christmas Band Concert, Jeanette Kendall the Junior Band and Sarah Woodward the Beginner and Junior Band.
